For some people goals and aspirations never end and the quest for life goes on. Chhavi Rajawat, a merit finder and an optimist who came out of the box of monotony and went back to her village in Rajasthan to bring about the concept of management to sort out the problems existing there. Born in Jaipur, Rajasthan, Chhavi is from a small village called Soda in Malpura tehsil, Tonk district. She did her schooling from Rishi Valley School (Andhra Pradesh) and Mayo College (Ajmer), and went to Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi for graduation. An MBA graduate, Chhavi utilizes her business management degree to take care of her village better.

Achievements:
Chhavi Rajawat of Soda village, is India's youngest and only Sarpanch with an MBA degree. She is the changing face of rural Rajasthan who has fought against all odds for the development of her village.
- Started Rajiv Gandhi Sewa Kendra under NREGA for her village
- Opened up a Cafe to support the development of Soda village due to lack of funds
- Represented India in the 11th Info-Poverty World Conference held at the United Nations.
Among the several projects that she has taken up to name a few are, water conservation by desilting 10 acres out of 100 acres of the main reservoir to conserve rain water, the only source for safe drinking water for the villagers, construction of drains, solar power in three villages. "But construction of toilets in each of the houses in Soda (total number of houses is 900) that the BPL/SC women here have demanded is still awaiting government funding. It was to be done through NREGA," said Chhavi.

Family
I was born and brought up in a slum in Madipakkam in Chennai. I have two elder sisters and two younger brothers and my mother was the sole breadwinner of the family.
It was really tough for my mother to bring up five kids on her meager salary. She sold Idlis in the mornings, worked for the mid-day meal at the school during daytime and taught at the adult education programme of the Indian government, thus doing three different jobs to bring us up and educate us.
My mother, according to me, is the most successful entrepreneur.
Education
I did schooling in Kings Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Chennai,graduated in Chemical Engineering from BITS, Pilani and after working for 3 years in Polaris Softwares completed MBA from IIMAhmedabad.
Business
Foodking was setup with a vision to offer employment to illiterate and semi-illiterate people and bring up their living standard.
Foodking has started its operations on May 16th, 2006 by supplying snacks to corporate sectors, banks and software firms.
It undertakes Event Catering, Industrial Catering and Institutional Catering and also has Retail Outlets.
Today, at 29, he is CEO of Foodking Catering Services which is providing services at BITS, Pilani, IIM, Ahmedabad, BITS, Goa, BITS Hyderabad and SRM, Chennai among others and has a turnover of Rs. 7 crore.
